KATE

WE ALL START SOMEWHERE…

BEFORE MOVING TO TEXAS TO ATTEND SOUTHERN METHODIST UNIVERSITY IN 2016, KATE SPENT HER ENTIRE CHILDHOOD IN VIRGINIA. AT AGE 5, KATE SET HER MIND TO BECOMING A COMPETITIVE EQUESTRIAN LIKE HER OLDER SISTER, EMILY. IN ADDITION TO BEING AN EQUESTRIAN, KATE ALSO PLAYED TENNIS . IT WASN’T UNTIL KATE REACHED HIGH SCHOOL THAT SHE REALIZED HOW CRUCIAL STRENGTH TRAINING WAS FOR ATHLETES AND BEGAN WORKING OUT WITH A PERSONAL TRAINER.

IN MAY OF 2015, KATE SUFFERED A SPINAL FRACTURE FROM AN EQUESTRIAN ACCIDENT. KATE’S INJURY COMPLETELY CHANGED HER OUTLOOK ON HER BODY AND HOW OFTEN WE TAKE OUR HEALTH FOR GRANTED. AS KATE STRUGGLED THROUGHOUT COLLEGE WITH REPERCUSSIONS FROM HER INJURY, SHE DEVELOPED A NEWFOUND PASSION FOR FITNESS AND HOLISTIC MEDICINE. AS KATE ENTERED HER JUNIOR YEAR AT SMU, SHE DECIDED TO FOLLOW HER PASSION AND SWITCHED HER MAJOR FROM ADVERTISING TO APPLIED PHYSIOLOGY AND HEALTH MANAGEMENT.

WHEN COVID STRUCK IN 2020 AS KATE PREPARED TO GRADUATE, SHE FOUND HERSELF IN SEARCH OF A JOB THAT WOULD ALLOW HER TO WORK IN PERSON AND INTERACT WITH OTHERS. AFTER SOME THOUGHT, KATE REACHED OUT TO THE OWNER OF A PILATES STUDIO THAT SHE HAD BEEN A CLIENT AT FOR OVER THREE YEARS TO SEE IF SHE COULD BEGIN TEACHING. ONCE KATE BEGAN TEACHING PILATES, SHE DECIDED TO THROW HERSELF INTO FITNESS FULL TIME. iN SPRING OF 2021, AFTER TEACHING AT A FEW PILATES STUDIOS, KATE PURSUED BECOMING A PERSONAL TRAINER. SINCE THEN , KATE HAS BEEN HELPING CLIENTS DEVELOP BOTH PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY.

KATE HAS A STRONG PASSION FOR HELPING OTHERS BUILD STRENGTH AND ACHIEVE A POSITIVE BODY IMAGE. KATE BELIEVES THAT BEING ABLE TO MOVE YOUR BODY IS A GIFT AND STRIVES TO CREATE A FUN AND ENERGETIC GYM ENVIRONMENT!
